Enrichment Programs
The Enrichment Committee is responsible for supporting activities that enhance the educational experience for our students. The majority of these committees are focused on in-school and in-classroom activities.

Art Appreciation for K-3 grades
Coordinate parents to lead art presentations to students in support of the curriculum, Sprague Art Teacher provides training and materials. (2 presentations)
Classroom Help & Field Trip Chaperone, All Grades
Note that various opportunities may arise throughout the year in your child's classroom. These opportunities will be communicated either via the Room Parent or the Teacher.
Creative Arts and Sciences, All Grades
Coordinate school-wide and grade-specific programs that complement the curriculum, welcoming performers, scientists and authors. (ongoing September to June) LEARN MORE.
Environmental Education, Grades K-4
Coordinate parents to lead hands-on outdoor nature walks to enhance the curriculum, training for volunteers is provided and no science experience required. (2 walks, in fall and spring)
Field Day, All Grades
Coordinate parent volunteers to direct and help with game activities organized by Sprague PE Teacher. (June)
Guided Reading Library, All Grades
Maintain teachers’ leveled guided reading books. (monthly, September to June)
Kindergarten Library
Coordinate volunteers to assist classes in selecting books and aid Librarian in shelving and book checkout. (weekly, September to June)
POPS
The mission of POPS is to foster, encourage and support the many aspects of performing arts education in the Wellesley Public schools; to enrich the scope of student involvement; and to stimulate broad community interest in Performing Arts programs. Membership is open to all parents and/or guardians of children who are enrolled in the Wellesley Public Schools. Wellesley POPS, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Room Parents, All Grades
Help with class activities requested by teachers and with grade-specific Parent Social, organize class gifts, provide occasional support for school-wide events. (ongoing, August to June)
Summer Readers’ Breakfast, Grades 1-5
Organize breakfast, volunteers and recognition certificates to celebrate students’ summer reading. (September)
Walk to School, All Grades
Coordinate volunteers to sign in students on walk to school days. (monthly, September to June)
